Christianity Real Hope For Christmas

Ever told your kids not to do something … till you’re blue in the face? And they still don’t, or won’t, listen …

Ever closed your eyes because you didn’t want to watch someone behaving badly?

Ever done something stupid yourself … and thought “I’m my own worst enemy”?

People don’t believe in God – but we’re very quick to blame Him when we get ourselves into a mess. Yet when things go right, we tell ourselves we’re just lucky!

It could hurt your feelings if your kids treated you like that. If they only came to you when they wanted something, and never said thank you when they got it.

Sometimes, you just have to let them make their own mistakes. But if you’re a good parent, you want to be there to help pick up the pieces. If they let you.

Christians believe God has mounted a Rescue Operation for our worldwide mess, by coming down to earth as a human being called Jesus. There’s plenty of credible evidence; no historian would seriously dispute that He lived, and that someone said those incredible words He’s recorded as having uttered in the New Testament (second half of the Bible). Think what you like about His teaching and life, but the facts remain; no other individual has affected history like this one man. We still date our calendar from His birth (even if we did get the date wrong 😂:)!)

Now, two thousand plus years later, millions believe He’s not only still alive, but is willing to befriend anyone and change them, if they’re willing, for the better – from the inside out. And with just about any problem, worldwide or individual, traceable back to human selfishness, that’s quite a plus. Imagine how the world could change if we all started treating each other with real love. Ask any committed Christian you know to tell you more, or visit your local Christian church. And if you come across any bad examples of believers, forgive us – we’re human, too.

Meantime … HAPPY CHRISTMAS, with love from your local Christian church.
