Poverty Bible launched

The Bible that reveals God's passion
Bible Society have launched The Poverty and Justice Bible, a new resource that
(literally) highlights verses in the Bible that show what it has to say about poverty and justice.  Lord David Alton, Patron of the Christian Enquiry Agency says,
"By publishing a Bible which places emphasis on those passages which stress justice and poverty, Bible Society has ensured that we don’t miss one of the central messages of the Holy Scriptures."

Bible Society says:
Almost every page of the Bible speaks of God's heart for the poor. His concern for the marginalised. His compassion for the oppressed. His call for justice.  The Poverty and Justice Bible megaphones his voice as never before.  Using the clear Contemporary English Version (CEV) text, it highlights more than 2,000 verses that spell out God's attitude to poverty and justice.

It contains in-depth studies on what to do and you can find out more about this new version of the Bible at www.povertyandjusticebible.org/
